Friday Fact 15 May 2009

Start planning the pub lunch - it's Friday!

Did you know that Pepsi used to be called "Brad's Drink"?

From Wikipedia: Brad's Drink

Pepsi was originally named "Brad's Drink", after its creator, Caleb Bradham, a pharmacist in New Bern, North Carolina. It was created in the summer of 1893 and was later renamed Pepsi Cola in 1898, possibly due the digestive enzyme pepsin and kola nuts used in the recipe. Bradham sought to create a fountain drink that was delicious and would aid in digestion and boost energy.
